Marion Brew reports:

During the 2018 season we excavated the superstructure of the tomb of Karabasken (TT391).  This season we returned to the superstructure in order to clarify and delineate the southern tower of the pylon.  While cleaning to the south of the pylon we revealed the foundation.  This consisted of two courses of mud-brick laid directly on the gebel, which in this area slopes downward to the north.  The lower course of mud-bricks was attached to the gebel by mortar.

The pylon is preserved to a height 0.75m, and has seven courses above the foundation course.  There are faint traces of white plaster on the exterior bricks.

As part of the recording process, we measured the foundation of the pylon, took elevations and then made a 3D scan.  The elevation of the gebel is 92.29, while the foundation course has an elevation of 92.34.
